Welcome to ART-search.com & CRAFT-search.com we provide
quick easy access to people, businesses and websites in
3 main industries. Fine Art, Entertainment Arts and Crafts.
We are also content publishers for other related websites.
I founded what you see now in 1998 as a part time hobby
whilst working as a web developer with Squiz.net who I'd
like to thank for all their support in allowing me to
pursue my goals & for the good advice.
My personal interests have always lay in Art & Craft
and I'm currently a practising artist as well as a web
developer.
Since the beginning I have worked tirelessly on growing
and developing this network with the aid and support of family, friends, staff and many other people. The ART-search.com and the CRAFT-search.com
network continues to be owned by myself however in in
2003 I along with Brendan Roche founded Ideal Media, which
provides web development and hosting services to many varied
clients, many of which are art or craft related.
My aim with ART-search.com &
CRAFT-search.com is that it will go on to fund the ongoing development of a non profit 'creative project' that is community focused. All I really want
from life is freedom of time, to do what i please with
each day, to help others and I also want to live
with no financial burdens. I feel this is something many people dream of? Well I am making it my reality. I have no desire for fancy cars, fancy clothes or a fancy house and I do not wish to amass a personal wealth just to die and leave it all behind... eventually all I have created will be focused into the development of my dream; the 'creative project' something somewhat like an artists
retreat and/or support program, or maybe something more! where all kinds of creative people
can develop their skills and enjoy life with all the necessary
support and happiness that comes with creativity. I envisage a place and/or program where artists can live, work or exhibit, dancers can study and practice dance, crafters can enjoy a craft retreat and others such as community, school or sporting groups can take a break use the facilities and be inspired... where disadvantaged children can be given the gift of 'opportunity' and become advantaged and inspired. ...and me, well I would like most just to spend my days bush walking & making art! :-)
